 The Sabesp - Company of Sanitation of the State of São Paulo - is a mixed economy, open capital, which has as its main shareholder the Government of the State of São Paulo. It is a concession of health services, responsible for planning, construction and operation of water and sewer systems (domestic and industrial) in 366 municipalities Paulistas.
Its raw material is water. Hence a direct implication for the environment, the water cycle and conservation of water.
 The Sabesp has 1,357 production units, divided into 198 stations, Water Treatment (ETA), 1,078 deep wells and 81 other systems. These units are responsible for generation of 100 thousand liters of drinking water per second.
Since the uptake of water to its distribution, a wide control that meets the standards and requirements of the Ministry of Health and WHO (World Health Organization). Are carried out around 150 thousand monthly analysis, a study involving 16 centers with laboratory internationally recognized quality standard ISO 9002 or ISO Guide 25 and accredited to ISO / IEC 17025.
